Don’t Fall For The Design Trap That Snares Many Remodeling Projects

Aren’t trained and educated licensed architects and interior designers with detailed construction backgrounds the same as contractors that profess to be designers?

Not Really.  It takes ten years of very specific training, education and testing just to become a licensed architect.

An architect is a specialized surgeon for your home.  While your contractor is the x-ray technician.  X-ray technicians are knowledgeable.  But, if you go in for a scan,  is that the guy you want to determine rather you really have a problem.  Of Course NOT!  That task is left up to the RADIOLOGIST.  That’s the person that’s spent over a decade learning to evaluate x-rays and scans instead of learning how to operate the machines that take them.

That’s an important distinction.

Regarding the design of your house, do you want the guy that spent his time learning to coordinate the troops and operate the machines, or the one that’s spent decades training and  responsible for designing your home.

The Holistic Approach

It really is simple in concept.  Balance, your ideas and goals with the constraints of your existing home and those of the current construction realities that affect the team that build your home.

It takes dedication and decades of training and experience to understand how to create the proper balance.  But when achieved, what do you get?

The home that’s been locked up in your imagination for a price that you can afford.
